As you all know by now :), I have several core fundamental beliefs when it comes to being the best wife, mom, lawyer, mediator, and coach. In order for my brain to work at its best, in order for me to have energy lasting throughout the day, in order for me to show up fully with my mediation and parent coordination clients, in order for me to be efficient in my document drafting, I need to take care of myself first.
That boils down to 5 things.
- Working out 5-6 times a week;
- Eating clean 85% of the time, but allowing for indulgences;
- Drinking 75-100 oz of water every day;
- Journaling, having a devotional, and reading personal development books; and
- Sleep! I aim for 7-8 hours every night.
When it comes to fitness, I use Beachbody fitness programs, interspersed with some Peloton rides and runs, to achieve my goals and sustain my habit of working out 5-6 times per week. The fitness and nutrition programs created by Beachbody give me an incredible platform to offer my clients a way to tackle the first 2 of my 5 core things you need. (Truth be told, the other 3 will fall into place naturally when you work with me). I also love that I have a fitness and nutrition program for pretty much everyone that is available globally.
With regard to working out, I also think it is important to CHANGE IT UP every few months. Learn new routines, work new muscles, avoid burnout, keep it fun, etc. I also think it is INCREDIBLY important to follow a program more often than not. What do I mean by that? You have a detailed workout calendar that ensures you are targeting all of your different muscle groups in the right way, in the right order, on the right days. This calendar should also include at least a day of restoration, flexibility, and repair. You start with a Day 1 and you have an end date. You accomplish the whole program, as it is written. When you are done, you take a week or two and play around with other fitness routines to give your mind a break from a calendar, then you move on to the next program. This is precisely why I love working with Beachbody. Every few months we have access to a brand new program, with a detailed calendar, that delivers on all of these levels. What does that mean for you? Results. Results on the outside (yay muscles! and bye bye unwanted pounds!) and on the inside (many of my challengers report that after a program they get good news from the doctor and see their various “numbers” go in the right direction).*
This brings me to the next program! 645 launched this month. Because of my hysterectomy, I need a later start date. That means, I am going to start 645 on Monday, September 6, 2021. What is AWESOME about that day!? It is Labor Day and the beginning of the school year. If you are like me – September feels like more of a new beginning than January – so it is the PERFECT time to start!

Here is the Low Down:
- 645 is 6 Days per Week; 45 Mins a Day (warm-up to cool-down) – meaning you will really only be plugged in for 45 mins)
- Each workout includes 10 minutes of an ACTIVE WARM-UP (not an extra 10 – that 10 is part of the 45)
- We will use resistance power loops (cloth, not rubber) = less rolling up on you
- Each week we will have
- 4 total body resistance training workouts (you will need weights)
- Lower Body Strength (Mondays)
- Total Body Power (Tuesdays)
- Upper Body Strength (Thursdays)
- Total Body Tempo (Fridays)
- 1 cardio workout (no weights) (Saturdays)
- Mobility and Stability (Wednesdays)
- Rest (Sundays)
- 4 total body resistance training workouts (you will need weights)
- Each of the 78 workouts is filmed separately – so it will stay FRESH!
- If you want to do this when I do this, we will start Labor Day (Monday, September 6, 2021) which will mean our final day will be Saturday, December 4, 2021)
